Ning is a social networking application and home to thousands of communities commonly called “nings.” You can find networks of people with whom you share interests.
Ning communities can be
public (anyone can view and join)
moderated (anyone can view, membership must be approved)
private (only members can view and contribute content).
Nings have a rich variety of features that can be turned on or left off, depending how the ning community creator sets up the ning.
